Grand Indochina tour - 21days

Day 1: Arrive Seam Reap
Warmly welcome at Seam Reap airport. Transfer to your hotel. Your Angkor discovery trip begin with the Roulos group of temples before climbing the imposing hilltop temple of Phnom Bakheng to witness a truly memorable sunset. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 2: Angkor Complex and Angkor Thom (B/D)
Today you visit the fascinating ruins of Ta Prohm shrouded undergrowth and the roots of Banyan trees. From here we head for Banteay kdau and the nearby lake of Sras Sran the King"s bath. In the afternoon start exploring Angkor Thom, the South Gate , Bayon with 4 giant faces, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. Dinner with Apsara show at local restaurant. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 3: Angkor Wat Temples (B/L)
Following breakfast at hotel, you take a 45km drive to Pre Rup and The East Mebon, visit Bantaey Sreiand Bantaey Kdei. In the afternoon youwill visit The World Seventh Wonder Angkor Wat. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 4: Siem Reap - HCMC (B/L)
You enjoy another new day in this ancient land. Following breakfast you have 2 hour boat cruise onTonle Sap Lake. Afternoon free at leisure or additional Siem Reap sightseeing until transfer for flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Pick up and transfer to HCMC. Check in. Overnight in HCMC.

Day 5: HCMC (B/L)
This city tour unravels Saigon "s turbulent past and also provides a glimpse into the fascinating variety the city has to offer. This full day city tour includes The Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral and Old Post Office, Remnant War Museum, Giac Lam Pagoda, China town with ancient pagodas and temples, and bustling Binh Tay Market.

Day 6: Ho Chi Minh City - Vinh Long homestay (B/L/D)
This morning we set off for a drive through the Mekong Delta to the town of Cai Be, well-known for its whole sale floating market. Here we will board our private boat for a cruise along the maze of waterways and canals to Vinh Long, visiting Coconut candy Factory, enjoying Famous Folk- song Performance of Mekong Delta. We will stop at the home of a Bonsai gardener for a sumptuous lunch, including the popular dish of "Elephant ear fish", before continuing our exploration of the tributaries and canals of the delta. You are guest of one family in the heart of Mekong Delta this night and they will tell you more about life in the Delta. Overnight homestay in Vinh Long.

Day 7: Vinh Long - Can Tho (B/L)
Rising early to the sounds of the Delta coming to life for another day, you breakfast before boarding our riverboats once more for a cruise to Vinh Long town, stopping along the way to visit some local cottage industries, brick kilns. At noon time you disembark the boat for heading to Can tho city, the heart of Mekong Delta for overnight. Overnight in Can Tho.

Day 8: Can Tho - HCMC (B/L)
Before beginning you journey back to Ho Chi Minh City , you will take a boat trip to experience the Cai Rang floating market. Here each boat usually sells one particular item, whether it be pumpkins, pineapples, sugar cane etc, and in order that the customer knows where to shop, they hang that item from the highest part of the boat. Following this you will rendezvous with your vehicle for a drive to the town of My Tho, where you visit the Dong Tam snake farm and the Vinh Trang pagoda before return to HCMC. Overnight in HCMC.

Day 9: HCMC - Danang - Hoian (B/L)
Today you take flight to Danang. On the way to Hoi An a UNESCO-listed river-front town crammed with historic homes, tiny museums, cafes, and bustling silk and fish markets. You will stop to visit Buddhistcave temples in the Marble Mountains. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 10: Hoian Free day (B)
Suggestions for your free time: From the 16th to 18th centuries, Hoi An was a thriving international commercial port for Chinese, Dutch, French, Japanese, Portuguese and Arab traders. These people came primarily to trade in the high grade silk, which is still produced in the area, as well as ceramics. Today, Hoi An is a quaint riverside town, popular with tourists for its eclectic architecture, tailors shops, and numerous cafes. Some of the buildings in the narrow streets have remained unchanged for more than a century. The Ancient Quarter, Chua Ong Pagoda, Chinese Assembly Halls, the 200-year old Tan Ky ancestral house, and the Japanese Bridge are the most famous places. Hoi An is now one of fifth World Heritage listed sites in Vietnam. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 11: Hoian - Hue (B/D)
You bid Hoi An farewell this morning and continue our north bound journey. The destination for today is the old imperial city of Hue about four hours away. Along the way you will travel over the Hai Van pass, stopping at the top to take in the stunning views north over Lang Co beach before arriving in Hue. This afternoon you embark on a tour of the city. A visit to Hue would not be complete without taking in attractions such as the Citadel and the Forbidden Purple City, the Imperial Museum and the Dong Ba market. For tonight you will taste the finest cuisine of Hue in local restaurant. Overnight in Hue.

Day 12: Hue - Hanoi (B/L)
Rising up in the ancient land, breakfast in hotel then you board on a private boat for cruising the romantic Perfume River heading out for the countryside. Being the ancient capital, Hue is surrounded with ancient tombs of emperors past, and a visit to some of these tombs will be on the itinerary for today. The charming Lady Pagoda (Thien Mu Pagoda) will be the first stop of the day. Setting in the converge of rivers, and gives you a great view on the Perfume River and surrounding area. Thien Mu Pagoda which is considered the unofficial symbol of Hue , and the greatest Buddhism Centre in Centre Vietnam. Leaving the pagoda you will take a drive to visit King Minh Mang"s tomb and King Tu Duc"s tomb. Lunch at local restaurant before say good bye to Hue and take a flight to Hanoi. Pick up and transfer to hotel. Overnight in Hanoi .

Day 13: Hanoi (B/L)
The colonial capital city Hanoi is a unique Asian city with tree-lined boulevards, French colonial architecture, peaceful lakes and oriental pagodas and temples. This full day tour takes you around Hanoi"s most interesting sights, including the Ho Chi Minh Complex: Ho Chi Minh"s Mausoleum and his Stilts House, Presidential Palace and the One Pillar Pagoda nearby, and the Old Quarter also known as the 36 streets and guilds. Also on the tour - the Lake of the Restored Sword and Ngoc Son Temple, the Temple of Literature, peaceful West Lake with lovers street Thanh Nien, the sedate Tran Quoc Pagoda and Quan Thanh Temple and one of the city"s museums, either the History Museum or the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology. Overnight in Ha Noi.

Day 14: Hanoi Free day (B)
Today you enjoy a free day at leisure. In the evening enjoy a traditional Vietnamese water puppet show. Overnight in Hanoi .

Day 15: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B/L)
In the morning you leave Hanoi for Halong Bay approximately 3,5 hrs drive. Once at Halong Bay city you will board our private boat for a four-hour cruise of this stunning hidden bay. After 5 hour navigation you sail back to harbor and drive back to your hotel in Halong for overnight.

Day 16: Halong Bay Overnight on Junk Boat (B/L/D)
After having breakfast you will be free at leisure. At noon you are welcome on a refurbished wooden sailing junk for a cruise through the limestone cliffs and emerald waters of Halong Bay with a the chance to take in the stunning scenery of this World Heritage Site. While on board a sumptuous fresh, local seafood lunch will be served and followed by a swim if weather perit and exploring some of the limestone caves in this area. When the sun come down the junk will drop anchor for the night nearby a remote island. Overnight on junk.

Day 17: Halong Bay - Hanoi (B)
Rising to the sound of ocean coming to life for another lovely day. Breakfast over sunrise. Junk boat once again sets sail through breathtaking secluded Halong bay. Back to Halong wharf and disembark. Transfer back to Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi .

Day 18: Hanoi - Vientiane (B/L)
Transfer to airport for flight to Vientiane, Laos. Meet and greet at airport in Vientiane you will be transferred to your hotel. After lunch there will be a tour of Vientiane. Although it is a capital city, Vientiane has the feel of a small provincial town. The wide boulevards are almost devoid of traffic and with its many temples, the city retains the feel of another age. Our tour includes visits to the major temples ofVat Sisaket, Vat Phrakeo and the impressive That Luang Stupa, the country"s most important monument. We will also see the Arch of Triumph, the National Museum and shop at the Morning market. Overnight in Vientiane .

Day 19: Vientiane - Luang Prabang (B/L )
Transfer to airport for flight to Luang Prabang. Upon arrival visit Wat Xieng Thong, the most beautiful temple, we then take the traditional boat trip upstream on the Mekong River to visit the famous caves of Pak-Ou, located at the side of the steep cliff on the bank of the Mekong River housing hundreds of Buddha statues. We visit en route local rice-wine distillery and Ban Phanom weaving village. We then proceed to Wat Phousy on the top of the hill overlooking the Mekong River. Visit morning market,National museum (the former king"s palace), and climb up the Phousi hill for overlooking the city. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 20: Luang Prabang freeday (B)
An optional early start gives you the fantastic opportunity to participate in the daily morning rituals of saffron-clad monks collecting offerings of Alms (often in the form of sticky rice) from the faithful residents. This tradition is very unique in Laos , being the only Buddhist nation still preserving the ritual. Today you enjoy a free day at leisure.
Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 21: Departure (B)
There is no activity planned for today. Enjoy your free time for souvernir shopping until transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
